Use Robots Exclusion Standard to exclude pages
from the Search Index.
Control how your site is indexed.
Set up a /robots.txt file as follows.

User-agent: *   # directed to all spiders, not just Scooter
Disallow: /cgi-bin
Disallow: /access_stats
Disallow: /_private
Disallow: /scripts
Disallow: /images
Disallow: /sounds
Disallow: /shopcart

Any URL matching one of these patterns will be ignored by robots visiting your site and is read by Scooter every few days, so changes may not take immediate effect.
